Kindergarten students spell out the letter K with coloured nut shells during morning classes at Bagga Sheikhan school near Rawalpindi, supported by Developments in Literacy (DIL) , Punjab Province, Pakistan on September 28, 2012. DIL educates and empowers underprivileged students, especially girls, by operating student-centered model schools in remote areas of Pakistan. DIL’s holistic program includes curriculum enhancement initiatives, computer labs, libraries, reading programs and extracurricular activities which enrich the students’ school experience.
